A sad loss

I was just reviewing the list of people I sent post cards to about Paul’s August art show. One of them is our friend and fine artist, Chipp Wells of Westerly, RI. He passed away just a few days ago and we just found out. Chipp was something of a mentor to Paul as he began to try to get his art more noticed. I had met Chipp my first day in advertising and knew him as a kind, encouraging presence in a crazy industry. I was so happy for him when he declared he was retiring to paint New England scenery in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. We visited him at his studio on a river bank and got the tour. He said come back anytime and even stay there if we want. We will miss him a lot!

See Paul Creedon’s art in Darien, CT

Darien Rowayton Bank’s Darien branch is hosting a selection of pastel still lifes and landscapes by Paul Creedon throughout August, 2013! It will be advertised in the local papers but I wanted to get the word out to the surrounding Fairfield County art-loving community. There will be at least 12 framed and ready to hang works on display during banking hours. I hope you can make it to the show! But if not contact me and I will arrange for you to see/purchase his work after August.

Two Apples

Pastel of Two Apples

I love the natural beauty and simplicity captured in these 2 apples set up side by side in this pastel still life by Paul Creedon.
